Mindful Monday Week 27

Stay Curious

Hi, Thinking Out Loud here :D

Welcome to Mindful Monday Week 27

Here is the link for this week's playlist. https://open.spotify.com/playlist/2UO6WGONVFj8bUByKAmkHj?si=4f6977c27d3a47e8

I hope you enjoy listening whilst you read, and I hope you find the music relaxing.

If an ad plays, please stop reading and wait for the playlist to play again. The playlist is timed for you to read to the end of this blog post, with maybe one song running over after reading.

Get a drink, maybe even a snack, and find a comfy seat so you can relax. Let go of all worries and enjoy the next five deep breaths. Please prepare for the first breath in by breathing out.

Now time for your first deep breath; take one deep breath in through your nose for five 1..2..3..4..5.. hold for 1..2.. breath out through your mouth for five 1..2..3..4..5.. Hold for 1.. Breath in for five 1..2..3..4..5.. hold for 1..2.. And out for five 1..2..3..4..5.. hold for 1.. Breathe in for five 1..2..3..4..5.. hold for 1..2.. And out for five 1..2..3..4..5.. hold for 1.. two more to go; breath in for five 1..2..3..4..5.. hold for 1..2.. And out for five 1..2..3..4..5.. hold for 1.. last one deep breath in for five 1..2..3..4..5.. hold for 1..2.. And out for five 1..2..3..4..5.. hold for 1.. now go back to your regular breathing pattern. I hope you feel calm and relaxed.

With everything we do, it's easy to be content; it’s easy to get so used to what we have around us that we stop looking for new and different ways of doing things. When we were babies and toddlers, even through to being a child, we were curious about anything and everything; maybe that's because everything was new and seemed so interesting; perhaps now those things just seem so mundane and have become part of our everyday lives.

What if we were still curious about things that might be mundane? What if we could be curious and find new ways of doing things? If you are anything like me, then even the simplest tasks can start to become, dare I say it, boring. Even tasks that I usually really love doing can become boring. I’ve started to find doing things differently, and being curious about how I can do them differently helps to stop them from becoming dull and mundane. I want to stay curious so I don’t get bored, I want to keep finding new ways of doing old things, and I want to keep finding fun in everyday tasks.

Let me know in the comments below what you want to be curious about, how you stay curious and why you want to stay curious. I really do love reading about what you have to say. Please remember that comments get moderated, so they won't always be shown; however, they will always be read by me. I’m just one person doing this, so please be kind.

Let's finish with a three-deep breath breather.

Take one deep breath in through your nose for five 1..2..3..4..5.. hold for 1..2.. breath out through your mouth for five 1..2..3..4..5.. hold for 1.. breath in for five 1..2..3..4..5.. hold for 1..2.. and out for five 1..2..3..4..5..  hold for 1.. final breath in for five 1..2..3..4..5.. hold for 1..2.. last breath out for five 1..2..3..4..5.. no hold here you can now go back to your regular breathing pattern.

As always, thank you for taking the time to read this week's Mindful Monday. I really do appreciate everyone who takes the time to read them and listens to what I have to say.

Love always

Thinking Out Loud xx :D

Staying curious helps the mind stay young, keeps us finding new ways amongst old tasks and helps us to keep finding fun in everyday life, so stay curious, keep your mind young, find new ways and always have fun.
