Mindful Monday Week 3

Please, if you haven’t already got one, go and get a drink, maybe even a snack, and find a comfy seat so you can relax. Let all worries go for the next little while. Let yourself get ready for taking in five deep breaths.

For anyone who has trouble breathing, please take a mindful moment here instead of the breathing exercise. But, for those joining me, please get ready for the little exercise.

Breath out all the way, time for your first deep breath, take in one deep breath through your nose for five 1..2..3..4..5.. hold for 1..2.. breath out through your mouth for five 1..2..3..4..5.. Hold for 1.. breath in through your nose for five 1..2..3..4..5.. hold for 1..2.. breath out through your mouth for five 1..2..3..4..5.. hold for 1.. breathe in through your nose for five 1..2..3..4..5.. and hold for 1..2.. breath out for five through your mouth 1..2..3..4..5.. hold for 1.. two more to go breath in through your nose for five 1..2..3..4..5.. and hold for 1..2.. breath out through your mouth for five 1..2..3..4..5.. hold for 1.. last one deep breath in through your nose for five 1..2..3..4..5.. hold for 1..2.. breath out through your mouth for five 1..2..3..4..5.. hold for 1.. now go back to your regular breathing pattern. Peace

Hi, Thinking out loud here :D

Welcome to Mindful Monday, week 3

I dare you today to find peace in whatever you are doing, maybe even finding it every day this week. It can be anything from your morning cup of coffee or tea, watching your children learning something new (if you have children) or even just finding a moment in a day that has been busy. Whatever it is, I hope you treasure it, and thank the moment after, maybe even write it down in a notebook so you can remember it for a later date.

Finding peace doesn’t have to be big or take a lot of time. It can be a few borrowed seconds from your day, or it could be the whole day if you feel like a challenge. It doesn’t need to be something you have to think about how can I find peace today? Let it happen on its own, don’t force it because you might miss it or spend so long trying to find peace that it doesn’t happen. Sometimes we need to let these moments happen on their own for us to notice them.

Today, I have found my peace by writing this blog post, taking a few moments to sit down and write my thoughts. For me, this is very cathartic; it’s my happy place even if sometimes I do procrastinate. Even then, I am thinking about writing and what I could be writing. I am calm; maybe that's also to do with having music playing or just the fact that I am releasing any stress I may have previously been feeling because I’m sitting typing away in my happy place.

The sun is shining, there are clouds, but they are white and passing by; it rained early this morning, so the air feels clean and clear and a cool 17°c (this was 24 Nov 2021). The weather for when this is uploaded could be different in NZ. (The weather is currently a nice warm 26°c, and no clouds in the sky as of 17th Jan 2022, now back to Nov 2021.) This kind of weather and writing I find peaceful. Summer, in general, is peaceful, even living near a crowded beach. In the evening, when everyone has gone home, and it’s just locals walking or swimming in the remaining heat is bliss (though you do have to mind rubbish that has been left behind, on some occasions, there have been sofas left. The harsh reminder of reality and that not everyone is respectful of the places they are visiting on a day trip.) The peace by far outweighs the busy summer days. I truly am thankful for living in such a beautiful part of the world, especially when I have my haven and find my peacefulness of coming and writing whenever I need to.

I genuinely hope you can find your peace today; let me know in the comments if you have been able to take a chance or find a moment of peace; maybe you found it whilst reading this weeks Mindful Monday, or you might find it with a final breather however you find it, I would love to know.

Let's finish with a little three deep breath breather. Again if you struggle with a breathing problem, take another little mindful moment here to finish before you carry on with your day. For those joining me in the final breathing exercise, get ready.

Take one breath in through your nose for five 1..2..3..4..5.. hold for 1..2.. breath out through your mouth for five 1..2..3..4..5.. hold for 1.. breath in through your nose for five 1..2..3..4..5.. hold for 1..2.. breath out through your mouth for five 1..2..3..4..5.. final breath in through your nose for five 1..2..3..4..5.. hold for 1..2.. final breath out through your mouth for five 1..2..3..4..5.. no hold here you can now go back to your regular breathing pattern.

As always, thank you for reading; I hope you have a truly fantastic day and find your peace.

Love always Thinking out loud xx :D
