I stand with you

Hi Thinking out loud here xx :D

This weeks post is going to be different from what I thought it would be last week and even from the beginning of this week, I’ve changed what I was going to be doing because I can not stay quiet, I can not ignore what is happening in the world at the moment. It’s time for us to use our voices and make ourselves be heard. I’ve been a little quiet on social media because I’ve needed to process what’s been happening, every time I’ve seen an image or read an article I’ve felt anger and knew what I’ve I would have tweeted wouldn’t have been right, the pictures I’ve have seen have made me cry (it takes a lot to make me cry.) So today I stand with you, my brothers and sisters who are black, I stand with you all as we all fight for your rights. Times need to change we can’t stay stuck as it was 400+ years ago, it’s not right and how we perceive people how we treat people and how we act with people needs to change. If we don’t learn from history then we never will, we will never change, we need to learn, we need to change, and it needs to happen now not in another 400+ years, or another 400+ years it needs to happen now. At the bottom of this post, I will post some links to, that you can educate yourself with. I hope soon we will have the rights that you deserve, the rights that you should always have had, and the justice for the people whose lives were so cowardly and carelessly taken.

I want to say also be safe if you are protesting, I know a lot of the fires and damaging of buildings, cars etc. isn’t coming from you but from those who are trying to bring you down, who are trying to misguide your voices, know that we see them, but we hear you louder, your voices will be heard. Stay safe, belief in everything that you do and keep strong, you aren’t alone, and we all stand with you. To those families who are mourning the loss of your loved ones I feel your pain, I feel your loss no amount of words I know will bring them back but I genuinely hope you find peace and send you all the love and strength that you need during this time, I stand with you.

For anyone saying there are other groups minority or otherwise right now is not the time, there will be a time, but that isn’t now. It’s ok to feel like you are being pushed aside or that your culture doesn’t matter; it does, every culture matters. But please don’t try and push that to the forefront of this movement that is currently happening. I do believe everyone deserves justice and rights regardless of who you are or your colour. But being racist, being prejudice right now will not be stood for, remember karma, the good and the bad, and remember the people who you help now when you need them will also help you. Be kind, do good and good will come to you.

A reminder for if you are not able to donate for whatever reason then take the time to support black YouTubers watch their videos don’t skip the ads, watch the videos to the end, once this is all over keep supporting them keep letting our brothers and sisters know that we don’t stop standing with them once this is over, we stand with them now and will continue to stand with them once this is all over. We will never stop talking and using our voices for our black brothers and sister, we will forever stand with you. There is so much more we can do to help, I urge you to educate yourselves don’t believe everything you see on TV, in the media. Listen to what people are saying, listen to those whose voices need to be heard and trust in what you know is right. We all have a choice, we all have a voice how we use it is what matters and how we choose to help is what matters.

I stand with you

By Freya Anastasia Hatfield

My heart is heavy, and my mind is blank

The anger I feel is for those whose voices aren’t being heard

These tears I cry are for those who lost their lives

For those who were innocent

For those who were unarmed

For those who didn’t get justice

My heart is heavy, and min mind is blank

I feel the pain of my brothers and sisters

I stand with you today and every day

This isn’t just your fight, it’s our fight

This isn’t just my planet it’s our planet

My heart is heavy, and my mind is blank

You are not alone with pain you feel

You are not alone with the anger you feel

You are not alone with the tears you cry

You are not alone with the loved ones you lost

My heart is heavy, and my mind is blank

I feel you anger

I feel your sadness

I feel your pain

I feel your words

And I feel the justice you deserve

My heart is heavy, and my mind is blank

For those whose voice wasn’t heard

For those whose lives were lost too soon

For those whose voices won’t be heard

For those whose fight for life wasn’t heard

My heart is heavy, and my mind is blank

I stand with you today and every day

We are all human

We all have voices

We all have rights

And we all have a life

Yours matters

You matter

You deserve the right to freedom

My heart is heavy, and my mind is blank

I am numb, I stand with you

My brothers and sisters

My heart is heavy, and my mind is blank

I stand with you today and every day

My heart is heavy, and my mind is blank

Your voices will be heard

We will be heard

I stand with you my brother and sister

I stand with you today and every day

I stand with you

I stand with you

I. Stand. With. You.
