Hi Thinking out loud here :D 

I wrote this awhile ago hope you enjoy and are having a lovely day. 

Chasing

I feel like I'm constantly chasing you

chasing time and the things I want to do,

I try to keep up but when I do

you've turned around and started something new.

I chase you hoping one day you'll notice that I fell for you.

I'm that little laugh you hear,

that disappears when you look for where it's coming from

I'm the silence when you sleep so you can dream of things to come.

You don't notice but I'm always there,

chasing to make sure you're safe.

You never see me

you never know

I've got so good at hiding

chasing as you go.

You hear me every now and then,

it's happy memories playing once again

I'm a keepsake never to be lost

I'm the light at the end of the tunnel

I'm from your past, your present and I'll be in your future

for me, time stands still

I'll wait until I can see you again

I'm no longer here but I watch you every day

you are young, I was old

one day you will grow and know

that time is precious and doesn't last forever

I'm still chasing you

I still follow where you go

I'll forever be with you

no matter how far apart we are

time will go, years will pass, seasons will change

I may now be gone but you can always find me

my footprints may have faded

my memory may be gone

but my love for you is forever strong

I chased you then

I follow you now

as a memory, you keep within your heart!

Updates

Hi Thinking out loud here xx:D 

This is something I wrote it's in no way serious and like everyone, I love the technology we have but hate the constant updates I feel like they happen every ten minutes (exaggeration I know.) but I hope you are able to have a laugh at what life to me seems to be, becoming :D

Updates

Life is full of updates and new versions

I just turned on my laptop

when I got bombarded with

Viber updates and new software versions

I didn't ask for this

I didn't ask for a start-up to take my time up

I get my tablet

15 notifications

10 file cleanups

4.61gb junk gone

life is full of invisible trash

an online bin full of invisible junk

the updates

the apps

the things we use day today

I can't use my phone without hearing dinging constantly

the constant reminders

don't forget in a day another new update

I turn my phone on silent

finally no more constant reminders

no more you need to sign-ups

we've become addicted to needing to know the latest news

we need to hear the latest celeb goss before its a day old

it's like it was out ten years ago,

thirteen-year-olds are now like twenty-year-olds

to them, I'm practically like a grandparent,

when did the ages change I don't think that meme made it to the over eighteens.

Memes have become a social status

the best one you post the more followers, subscribers and likes you get

it's become filters on photos no more original beauty

that's apparently not good enough

we now have more apps

make a boyfriend

make a girlfriend

create your perfect family,

people no longer talk face to face

it's a screen with pictures of someone you'll never meet

apps for dating but dates you never go on

you wanna hook up

three years ago that meant meeting up

now it means sex, a one night stand,

a plan to never see each other again

I grab a stylist it needs updating

I go for a pen the ink flows perfectly

I still use my laptop to write

simply for the quickness

and the delete button

I'd take a pen any day

if only I could erase some of the things that we say

there's just one thing in all of this madness

that I don't get

if the old isn't broken

why be done with it

when the new is already done with you!

I'm back

Hi Thinking out loud here :D

It's been a while since I've done a blog post so I thought it was about time I uploaded one. This year started out being busy with a family visit from Australia and my best friends wedding, where I was one of her bridesmaids. Since then I have been busy with editing my first book and slowly writing my second, while the search for publishers carries on. 

As for now things are going to change for me as I leave home and go on a little adventure, I hope to still be able to upload to my blog, my plan for uploading short stories this year may have to take a back seat, for now I still plan on uploading once a week although so far that hasn't happened. 

I hope everyone is well and having a lovely 2017 so far, sorry it's taken so long to get back into blogging but I promise I'm still here and ready to upload more blogs.
