What have we become?

Hi Thinking out loud here :D

no poem this week just a very long post about something that i've been wanting to put up for awhile, I hope you enjoy your reading for today and agree with some of what I have to say and please do share with your family and friends. I hope we can make a difference together.

It's sad to think that disasters still happen,
That violence is more present now more than ever,
That people still feel helpless because they are scared.
The fact that this has been going on since anyone can remember makes it sadder,
The fact that no one has been able to find an end to fighting in away to save innocent human life
It's sad to think that this world we live in thrives of war and hatred.
But for what . . .
To become the leader of a country
To one day maybe rule the world
If everyone took a step back to see the little things in life maybe the world could be a better place
Maybe people wouldn't be scared to stand up for their countries and defend what is rightfully theirs
It's wrong for anybody to go somewhere and suddenly expect things to change just because there believes say so.
I can't see why a religion should take presidency over everyone even if they don't believe in it.
It boggles my mind as to how someone thinks it's acceptable to be able to kill innocent lives just because it's what you believe
I maybe wrong but I thought all bibles and all beliefs tell everyone to love thy brother after all isn't everyone somehow connected
Isn't everyone like family.
I ask myself what can I do to make a change,
What can I do to show I care and that I want the world to no not all is lost yet.
Our ancestors didn't fight in wars for it to be carried on they stood up because one day they prayed it would all be over,
They prayed we'd live a life they never got to see.
So I ask you my Friends and family to stand with me to show respect to those who have lost their lives or who are losing their lives for being innocent and in the wrong place at the wrong time.
To never forget who they are or what they did,
To make sure they aren't forgotten not for being weak for not being scared to live their lives,
The truth is if we don't who will?
If we don't show our support who will?
If we don't start to make a change who will?
If we don't start to change our ways who will?
We need to start to make this world livable again and not a place where the next generations are scared to be.
A place where there is one day peace
A place where one day everyone can be free and talk freely without being scared of what might happen to them.
Call me silly, call me stupid call me what you like
But to me this world looks pretty grim if we don't start changing how we do things
How we treat people I always got taught to treat people how I wanted to be treated
If other people were told that I only hope they'd change their ways.
I think we are a long way off the world being a better place
But if we work together I no over time we can get there,
Let this generation be the first to say we did it
We started to make a change for the better
We took the step in the right direction
We did something only our grandparents and great grandparents dreamed of doing
We made a change because we wanted to.
Instead of saying we can't let's start saying we can
As a globe we can do this together
We can stop countries
Being at war
We can change equality
We can stop racism
We can stop religion being something that rules our way of thinking.
We have made gay marriage legal
We have started to make women's pay equal to men's but we're not finished yet!
We have started making it easier for certain societies but we need to make it easier for all
We can do this together.

All I ask is that you light a candle on September 2nd as this is when an innocent child died this sadly is when we all started to realise that a change needed to be made yet nothing is happening I'd like us to light a candle to show our support to show we care to show we want to help to show we want to make a change but also to let our governments know that we know they can't cope and that they can't go it alone. To show what our ancestors tried to do to show that we are standing up for what is right and that no one is alone however hard it might be. I'm not saying change who you are or what you're doing I'm just saying take sometime whether it be a minute or an hour to think about how you can help that could be taking your old clothes to a charity who are helping out people in need or whether it be helping out at a shelter just remember to light a candle remembering them who died trying to save innocent lives and to them trying to change their lives post pictures of you lighting your candle in support to instagram and twitter using the #makingadifference but please remember to do this on September 2nd

Also I need to stress I'm not against religion I'm just against how people use religion in away that I'd say goes against what religion means and has meant for thousands of years I feel like people misinterpret what the Bible says, now I haven't read the bible but I no what some people say isn't true and isn't in the bible, because why would something say something about a god hating on a specific 'type' of person when I've always been told that God loves everyone yet some religions discriminate people for who they are when the bible shows no evidence of God hating on anyone.

This is something I would love for someone to explain to me as I don't get how so many people can have their faith in someone who would hate against a gender, race or even sexuality, when they have been seen to be someone who loves everyone and only wants the best for everyone. I feel like it's messed up that people believe it's ok to believe that, to believe that people should be hated because someone once said that's what you should believe in.

In the 21st century it's still happening don't you think it's about time that stops because I do and this is what this post is about it's not about getting rid of religion it's about making religion fit into the 21st century and making it fit with what's happening now not with what happened thousands of years ago. when women were seen as dare I say it an object not a person we were seen as someone who had children and weren't independent a time when if you were gay you had to feel ashamed and be punished for it. Or if you were black you were seen as being cheap slavery because you were seen as being less than a white person, I'll let you know now that some of the most prestigious people were black women and men not just white women and men and yes for some of them that was when there families were still being slaves and that wasn't long ago when that stopped and it won't be long until everyone has equal rights which everyone deserves black, white, woman, man, straight, LGBT or a different race from your neighbor everyone will be seen as equal to the next person and the next generations will grow up being able to be proud that they are able to live in a society where they don't have a label where they aren't judged for who they are or what they look like because they were born into a generation that have helped make changes for everyone. So please remember on September 2nd to light a candle and use the #makingadifference on twitter and instagram so I can see who is joining me lets make this world a better place put September 2nd in you diaries and on your calendars so you remember

thank you as always for reading if you made it to the end thank you and you are amazing. :D

love always Thinking out loud xx :D
